Bio

Daniel Shiells is a singer-song writer hailing from Hemel Hempstead, UK who at the age of 15 picked up a guitar and started a journey through music that has now been pieced together to form a taste of things to come, his debut studio album.

From small beginnings playing at local youth events and in his home church, Daniel moved onto to playing festivals and concerts throughout Europe. Audiences responded to his heartfelt worship songs and at afterwards they were always crowding round to talk to this young man of God, often asking to buy copies of his music.

"Over the years many people have said 'you should record an album'" says Daniel "it would be cliché to say that I want to bless people through my music - the truth is I love singing and playing guitar and worshiping God".

a taste of things to come is this album, and it has been many years in the making, with songs written and perfected over the last ten years of performing.

"This album has been many years in the making, I started writing songs in my teens and over the years my music as matured as my faith has. Some of the songs like 'Pushing Through' and 'You Know What You Want' were written years ago, others like 'Heroes' and 'I feel your love' are more recent.

With the support and encouragement of friends and family, in the summer of 2006 Daniel got about to recording the long awaited album. He had the opportunity to work with Tre Shepherd (one hundred hours) and the Rocketman Collective, as well as taking part in a photo shoot with Max Pickering BBC Photographer of the year and still spending time touring.

"Working with Tre and co has been a blast, staying up until the early hours of the morning, experimenting with different beats and sounds have brought a new level to the songs. The advice of Tre has been invaluable and has helped express my style, in a chilled atmosphere. It's been exciting to watch the album take shape; the musicians who've helped prepare the songs and who've played on the album have all been amazing to work with. It's been fun!"

For Daniel this is the first step of the next stage of a continuing journey, for you he hopes it will be a taste of things to come.
